Feds: Indian Diplomat Not Immune From NY Charges
Federal prosecutors say an Indian diplomat who was body-searched when arrested on charges she fraudulently obtained a work visa for her housekeeper isn’t covered by diplomatic immunity, The Associated Press reported. A filing Friday in Manhattan federal court says that although Devyani Khobragade is no longer in the U.S., she’s not immune from prosecution.
