NY Aquarium Moves Walrus to Texas During Repairs

A beloved orphaned walrus calf in the New York Aquarium on Coney Island was moved to Texas as the aquarium undergoes a 2-year renovation, The New York Times reported. Mitik came to the aquarium from Alaska in 2012 with numerous health issues, which would be exacerbated by post-Superstorm Sandy repairs.
