Teens Locked in Police Van Will Split $360K

FORT LEE, N.J. (AP) —

Three teens who were left overnight locked in a police van will split $360,000 under a settlement with the town of Fort Lee. They alleged they spent about 15 hours in a cold van without food, water, bathrooms and warm clothing after police broke up a house party in March 2011. The teens, two of whom are of Korean descent, claimed racial bias. They were rescued when a passer-by saw them and called police.
