NJ Pilot Killed During WWII Honored at Burial
A World War II pilot killed during a reconnaissance mission in Germany was laid to rest on Friday in Denver with full military honors. Air Force jets flew in a missing man formation to honor Capt. Franklin B. Tostevin, of Westfield, N.J., who was shot down on March 20, 1945, over Cologne, two days shy of his 23rd birthday. He had previously served in Normandy prior to D-Day. His remains were recovered in 2008 but DNA only recently confirmed his identity.
