NYPD: Cousin Confessed Murder of Mom, 4 Kids
A Chinese immigrant has been arrested on five counts of murder in the deaths of a mother and her four children in their Brooklyn home on 57th Street and Ninth avenue.
The New York Police Department said Sunday that 25-year-old Mingdong Chen has implicated himself in the deaths.
Chen is a cousin of the children’s father and had been staying at the home for the past week or so, Banks said. He came to the United States from China in 2004 and seemingly struggled to make it, Chief of Department Philip Banks III said.
