Poll: Christie Has Lead In Re-election Bid

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) —

A new poll finds Gov. Chris Christie maintaining a large lead over Democrat Barbara Buono.

A Quinnipiac University poll out Wednesday shows 64 percent of likely voters back the Republican governor, with 30 percent supporting Buono. That’s an even bigger lead than a Monmouth University poll showed last month. Quinnipiac Poll director Maurice Carroll says there are not many promising signs for Buono, who trails Christie among women and independents, and few voters remain undecided or say they are likely to change their minds.
