Bobover School in Bat Yam Vandalized
The Bnos Zion school of the Bobover community in Bat Yam was seriously vandalized over Shabbos. Trespassers set three separate fires in the classrooms and scrawled anti-chareidi hate graffiti on the walls.
Neighborhood residents told Hamodia that a group of teenage thugs known to them and to the police were responsible for the vandalism.
Firefighters and police were dispatched to the site not long after Shabbos started. But they left without making any arrests, and the vandals returned to continue their destructive work.
Only when a number of avreichim arrived at the scene did they flee.
Residents expressed anxiety that the incident was the result of ongoing incitement against chareidim in the Israeli media and by some of the political parties, and that it could signal a wave of anti-chareidi violence.
