Tragedy struck the Satmar community in Monsey Monday, as a young Maggid Shiur was suddenly niftar, leaving a bereft almanah and yesomim, and talmidim.

Rabbi Pinchas Eliyahu Weinberger, a 36-year old Maggid Shiur in Yeshiva V’Yoel Moshe Satmar of Monsey, was on a brief vacation with his class at Kashau Camp in Swan Lake. On Monday morning, it was discovered that Rabbi Weinberger had, R”l, been niftar in his sleep.

The niftar is a son of Harav Hillel Weinberger, Rav of Sederheli and the Dayan of Nitra-Mount Kisco.

The levayah was held Monday afternoon in Cong. Ohel Torah in Monsey, where his father-in-law, Harav Shlomo Josefovits, serves as Rav, and then at Yeshiva V’Yoel Moshe.

Kevurah was to be in Kiryas Yoel.
