Mossad Chief Travels to Doha for Talks With Hamas

Mossad chief David Barnea traveled alone to Doha on Friday to meet with Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani to discuss a proposed hostage and truce deal with Hamas, Kan News reported, citing senior Israeli officials.
Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and Maj. Gen. (res.) Nitzan Alon, the IDF’s point person in the talks, were not part of the trip, according to the report.
Officials told Kan News that people should curb their expectations that the talks will be successful.
