Signal Modernization Work to Affect F Train Service in South Brooklyn This Summer

Riders of the F Train in Brooklyn will see some service changes this summer as the line undergoes signal modernization.

On the following weekends, there will be no service south of Church Av, and free shuttle buses will operate between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av to provide service to closed stations.  These dates are subject to change:

  • Friday, July 5 to Monday, July 8; Friday, July 12 to Monday, July 15
  • Friday, August 9 to Monday, August 12; Friday, August 16 to Monday, August 19; Friday, August 23 to Monday, August 26; Friday, August 30 to Tuesday, September 3 (Labor Day Weekend)
  • Friday, September 6 to Monday, September 9; Friday, September 13 to Monday, September 16

Additionally, from Monday, July 1 to Saturday, July 13, Coney Island-bound F Train service operates express between 18 Av and Kings Highway at all times. And from Monday, August 5 to Saturday, August 17, Manhattan-bound F Train service operates express between Kings Highway and 18 Av at all times.
