Girl Seriously Injured After Falling Out of Bus on Camp Trip

A bus carrying girls on a camp trip on Route 84 in Maybrook, New York, suffered a tire blowout, causing a frightened 16 year old girl to fall out through the rear door and hit her her head.
The girl was seriously injured and lost consciousness, and Catskills Hatzalah responded to the scene of the accident. A Medivac helicopter was called to transport the injured girl to Westchester Medical Center. Portions of Route 84 were shut down to allow the helicopter to land on the highway.
