An El Al plane that departed from Warsaw on Sunday made an emergency landing at Antalya Airport in Turkey due to a medical emergency involving a passenger, Israeli media reported. Passengers were informed of an expected delay of several hours but were not allowed to disembark the plane.

Since the onset of the Israel-Hamas war, all direct flights from Israel to Turkey have been canceled. The unexpected landing in Turkey came as a significant deviation from current flight protocols, heightening the tension and inconvenience for the passengers.

The plane also required refueling. However, an airport worker’s refusal to refuel the aircraft caused further delays, according to reports. This incident added to the passengers’ frustration as they awaited a resolution while remaining confined on board.
