BD’E − Kossover Rebbe, Harav Shraga Feivish Hager, Zy”a

Hamodia is saddened to report the petirah of the Kossover Rebbe, Harav Shraga Feivish Hager, zy”a, who was niftar over Shabbos after an extended illness. He was 66 years old.

When reports of a deterioration in the Rebbe’s condition became public, round the clock groups gathered to fervently say on his behalf. Late Friday, the Rebbe’s family gathered at Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, and the Rebbe returned his holy neshamah to Shamayim shortly before midnight.

The levayah is scheduled to take place Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m at his beis medrash which is located at 1353 55th Street in Boro Park. The aron will then be brought to Monsey for a levayah at the Vizhnitz beis medrash located at 25 Phyllis Terrace.

There will be no hespedim at either levayah.

The aron will be walked to the Vizhnitzer Bais Hachaim at 290 NY-306 in Monsey, where the kevurah will take place near the kever of his father, Harav Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Hager, the Kossover-Zalishchiker Rebbe, zy”a.
