State Comptroller Warns of Unpreparedness for Northern Civilian Evacuations Due to Ministerial Disputes

State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman has raised concerns about Israel’s readiness to evacuate civilians from the North in the event of a war. In a statement released on Thursday, Englman highlighted ongoing disagreements between Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Interior Minister Moshe Arbel as a major impediment to effective evacuation plans.
Englman urged Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to address the issue promptly, stating, “There is no room for the lack of consensus to continue for so long; a unified and orderly government action is required.”
In a post from Englman’s office, it was revealed that they have written to Prime Minister Netanyahu to “put things in order.”
