IDF Announces Death of Sergeant Yair Roitman From Rafah Explosion Injuries

The IDF announced Motzoei Shabbos that Sergeant Yair Roitman, Hy”d, succumbed to his injuries after being wounded in the explosion of a booby-trapped building on last Monday, in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Roitman, 19, from Karnei Shomron, was initially injured along with six other soldiers in the incident, which also killed four more.
Five additional soldiers were moderately injured in the explosion. All of the soldiers involved were from the Givati Brigade.
Roitman was posthumously promoted from the rank of corporal to sergeant.
