I have just returned from a beautiful performance of one of our prestigious high schools. It was a beautiful, multi-talented and enjoyable performance and experience. However, at the same time I feel an obligation to pen this latter, albeit with a very disappointed feeling. After being asked numerous times by the principal not to cheer or jeer, the students did it again and again, destroying the aura.
Tayere Yiddishe Mammas! When you send out your daughters to a performance, please take the time to be mechanech them how important it is to be caring for someone else’s hard work. How vital it is for them to act with respect when in public.
May we be zocheh to see only nachas and middos tovos from our children!
