Hello, my name is Patryk Czerwony and I am a native of the town of Kańczuga in southeastern Poland. I’m involved in gathering information about the Jewish community of the town, and initiating a memorial for around 10 people who were murdered in 1945 after the war ended.
Even though there is a mass grave and a small memorial at the local cemetery in Siedleczka for those who were murdered by the Germans after the Kanczuga ghetto was liquidated, there is no memorial for the victims of the 1945 murder.
I am looking for people whose families might have been from the town of Kanczuga, or any information and help to find their stories and history. I can be contacted through Hamodia.
I appreciate your work and possible help.
