BD’E – Habachur Yisroel Schwartz, z”l

BROOKLYN

With sadness and grief Hamodia reports the tragic petirah of Yisroel Schwartz, z”l, after being hit by a vehicle in Boro Park.

Yisroel, a 10 grader in Yeshivas Novominsk, was a bachur who was serious about his learning. “He went to yeshiva and went home,” a Rebbi in the yeshiva told Hamodia, “and he had no shaichus to anything else. He was a sweet neshamah, which makes this all the more tragic. It is a gezeirah min haShamayim; the Eibishter wanted this precious neshamah back.”

Yisroel did not have any identification on him at the time of the accident, and he was identified by a white electronic admission card used to gain entrance to the yeshiva. When it was presented to the administration, they were able to identify its owner, enabling his family to be notified. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dov Schwartz, are renowned baale chessed living in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The levayah is tentatively scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in front of Yeshivas Novominsk at 6020 17th Ave, corner 17th Avenue.
