Plane Makes Emergency Landing In New York’s Hudson River
A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing about 5:00 p.m on Tuesday afternoon in the Hudson River near the Piermont Marsh in Rockland County, New York, approximately 20 miles from New York City, officials from several nearby police and fire departments reported.
Emergency responders from Piermont, Nyack and Tarrytown Fire Departments, along with police officers from Westchester County Police Department and Rockland County Sheriffs Dept, helped tow the plane to the Piermont Pier. Officials at the scene are working on getting the plane out of the water.
Officials said all people were accounted for and there appears to be no injuries.
