Hamas sources said over the weekend that four people were injured in an explosion in the home of top Hamas terrorist Talal al-Ajani, commander of the terror group’s Rafiach brigade. The explosion burned down his house, and caused a major fire that burned down a large number of surrounding buildings, the sources said. Israeli officials told Maariv that the incident was likely a “work accident,” with terrorists building an explosive device in an operation that went wrong.

Security forces on Motzoei Shabbos arrested two terrorists outside the Damascus Gate in the Old City of Yerushalayim. The terrorists were suspected of planning to carry out a stabbing attack. The two were taken into custody and questioned by security forces.

Over the weekend, security officials said they arrested 10 wanted security suspects in areas across Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
