Open Cab Door Leads to Brooklyn Bicyclist’s Death

BROOKLYN – A bicyclist died tragically on Tuesday after he struck an open taxi door and was tossed into oncoming traffic, The Associated Press reported. Hugo Alexander Sinto Garcia, 26, was on his electric bike in Greenwood Heights. Both drivers remained on the scene and were not charged.

Police Seek Driver Who Led Them on Chase Through 3 Counties

SKANEATELES, N.Y. – A vehicle that a man drove while being pursued by police in three central New York counties was found Tuesday night as police search for the car’s driver, WSTM reported. Sheriffs tried to stop the car from speeding on Route 41.

Gas Leak Spurs Evacuation at Syracuse Hotel

SYRACUSE – A downtown Syracuse hotel was evacuated Tuesday because of a carbon monoxide leak, and five people were taken to a hospital, The Associated Press reported. The leak at the Genesee Grande Hotel was sourced to a faulty heating boiler.
