The family of Daniella Gilboa has permitted the release of a Hamas propaganda video from January, in which the hostage claims she has been abandoned by the government and pleads to be brought home.

While the existence of the video was known when it was released, most Israeli media outlets chose not to publish it.

Orly Gilboa, Daniella’s mother, told Kan News that the family decided to release the video to emphasize the importance of the renewed talks for a hostage-truce deal.

In the video, Gilboa identifies herself as a soldier kidnapped from the Nachal Oz base on Oct. 7. She states that she has been held for 107 days, although the exact date of the video cannot be confirmed. It is believed that Gilboa was coerced into making the video.

Daniella Gilboa, 19, was in contact with her family on the morning of the attack. Harrowing footage of her abduction, along with four other female soldiers from the Nachal Oz base by Hamas terrorists, was released by the families in May.
