Reb Mordche Shloime Shpirer, z”l

BROOKLYN — Reb Mordche Shloime Spierer of Boro Park, a noted ba’al chesed, was niftar Friday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Monday night.

Co-workers describe Reb Mordche Shloime as a sweet and pleasant person, who always had a smile on his face and not an enemy in the world.

He worked for Bikur Cholim, and separately, he and his wife cooked food for people in the hospital, following the tragic death of a young daughter.

He delivered food to Methodist hospital every day. When he did not show up in recent days, the security guard and receptionist asked after him, and were distraught to hear about the accident.

Reb Mordche Shloime is survived by his wife, four sons, two daughters and many grandchildren.
