Attempted Kidnapping in Stamford Hill on Yom Tov

Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to forcibly steal two small children from their father in broad daylight on the second day of Shavuos outside of a Stamford Hill shul.

The shocking footage, captured by the surveillance equipment of the Chabad House located on Stamford Hill N16 in London, shows the struggle between the suspect and the identifiably Jewish father, who b’chasdei Hashem was able to protect his children from the assailant.

The incident occurred at around 11:56 a.m. Thursday morning.

The suspect ran off after the failed attempted kidnapping. Shomrim quote witnesses to the crime as saying that the kidnapper was motivated by antisemitism, but further details are not known at this time.

Shomrim and police are asking that the victim and other witnesses come forward to aid in the investigation.
