Netanyahu, Smotrich Extend BOI Governor’s Term

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have agreed to extend the tenure of Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron for another term.

Yaron’s five-year term was set to finish at the end of 2023.

The decision will be submitted for the government’s approval at its next meeting.
