Interior Minister Moshe Arbel (Shas) on Sunday voiced support for implementing the death penalty for terrorists linked to the Oct. 7 attack from Hamas’ elite Nukhba force. Stressing the need for justice and moral accountability, Arbel emphasized the applicability of existing laws in handling this specific case.

“The existing laws do permit this. I think the time has come, in the name of justice and morality, to carry out what the law presently permits,” he told Radio 103FM.

“This is unlike any other case. We absolutely need to carry out the law as it relates to the Nazis from the Nukhba force.”

He highlighted the importance of classified cabinet meetings in handling such sensitive matters, suggesting the inclusion of the Finance Minister in these deliberations for a comprehensive discourse.
