By Hamodia Staff

A 7 year old boy chased a ball he was playing with into the waters of Suzanne Lake in Monsey and was rescued by a Hatzalah member who rushed to the scene and searched for him in the lake.
The young boy was playing outdoors while his father was davening in shul, and when the ball he was playing with fell into the water, he tried to retrieve it. His older brother rushed to the shul to call his father, and Hatzalah was called to assist in the frantic search.
Several Hatzalah units responded and several members combed the waters in search of the missing boy. After several minutes, a Catskill Hatzalah member found the boy, and he was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. After he was stabilized he was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center.
On Monday, the child underwent a brain scan which came back with positive results.
