Gaza Resident Arrested at Tel Aviv’s Central Rail Station With Butcher’s Knife

A 35-year-old individual hailing from Jabalya in Gaza, who possessed a valid Israeli work permit, was apprehended at Tel Aviv’s Savidor central rail station. The arrest was conducted jointly by municipal law enforcement officers and patrol officers from the Lev Tel Aviv police station.

The suspect had attempted to conceal the 30-centimeter (11-inch) butcher’s knife by wrapping it in clothing inside a bag. However, vigilant security personnel manning the X-ray scanner at the station’s entrance spotted the weapon, prompting an immediate call to the police.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers detained the individual and transported him to the Lev Tel Aviv police station for further questioning.
