Israeli Forces Conduct Counterterrorism Activities in Jenin Camp

While Israeli forces from the IDF, ISA and Border Police units conducted counterterrorism activities in the Jenin Camp Tuesday night, armed gunmen opened fire at IDF and Israel Border Police forces, who responded with live fire, resulting in hits that were identified.
In addition, the IDF units operated a loitering munition on the ground which struck a number of additional assailants who endangered the forces.
During the forces’ exit from the city of Jenin, an IED exploded under an IDF vehicle, and security forces worked to rescue the vehicle. During the rescue, gunmen fired at forces as hits were identified on the rescue vehicles, but no IDF injuries were reported.
At the same time, during IDF activity adjacent to the city of Tulkarm, a wanted suspect was apprehended. The wanted suspect was transferred to security forces for further questioning. No IDF injuries were reported.
