Cybersecurity Incident at Psychiatric Hospital in Yerushalayim

On Tuesday morning, the Health Ministry reported a suspected cybersecurity incident at Kfar Shaul Eitanim Hospital in Yerushalayim. As a result, the mental health hospital has transitioned to manual management procedures.
The Health Ministry stated, “Medical teams are continuing to provide care to patients, and concurrently, the incident is under investigation by the Health Ministry’s cybersecurity team and the National Cyber Directorate.”
In a related context, it’s worth noting that last month, Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center experienced a cyberattack that resulted in the disruption of the hospital’s computer systems. Fortunately, this incident did not impact any medical equipment. The hospital successfully removed the ransomware within approximately 12 hours on the same day.
