BD”E: Hagaon Harav Meir Hershkowitz, Zt”l, Rosh Yeshivas Bais Binyomin
Hagaon Harav Meir Hershkowitz, zt”l, one of the ziknei Roshei Yeshivah in America, was niftar Sunday night, at the age of 89.
Many tefillos were held over the last few months for the Rosh Yeshivah, but the gezeirah was sealed and he returned his neshamah to its Maker.
The Rosh Yeshivah has thousands of talmidim across the world, from his years in the Yeshivah of Adelphia and later in Yeshivas Bais Binyomin of Stamford.
His levayah will be held Monday morning in Lakewood at 11:30, followed by a levayah at the yeshivah (now in Monsey) and from there to Eretz Yisrael, where kevurah will be on Har HaMenuchos in Yerushalayim.
