Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are set to deliver announcements tonight.

Netanyahu will speak at 8 p.m from the prime minister’s office.

The information came moments after Gallant said he would be making a statement.

Channel 12 reports that Gallant will likely call for an immediate halt to legislation on the judicial review.

Earlier, Ynet reported that Gallant has been warning Netanyahu that the overhaul was seriously undermining the IDF and Israel’s military, along with ties to key allies, including the U.S.

In the conversations between the Prime Minister and Gallant, the latter reflected on the seriousness of the situation of what is happening within the army, partly on the issue of the reserves and told him that in his position the legislation should be stopped.

Despite Gallant’s clear position regarding ceasing the legislation, the understanding is that he will not violate Coalition discipline in voting on the law and will support the legislation in the Knesset.

As far as is known, the question of Gallant’s resignation from his position did not come up in conversations with Netanyahu, but only in Netanyahu’s statements to other ministers.
