By Hamodia Staff

A pair of thieves broke into a vehicle which parked in front of the Satmar beis medrash at 152 Rodney Street in Williamsburg and made away with approximately twenty thousand dollars worth of jewels.
Police reported that two unknown males approached the unoccupied vehicle and one individual broke the rear window of the vehicle and removed a bag containing approximately $22,000 worth of jewelry, while the other individual acted as a look out.
The individuals then fled on foot westbound on Rodney Street toward Bedford Avenue.
NYPD and Shomrim are currently searching for the two perpetrators who smashed the windows of the car and swiftly fled. They suspect that the owner of the car, who lives in Monsey and left the valuables unattended, was followed by the thieves.
