Machine Gun Fire Triggered Rocket Sirens in Sderot

Rocket sirens were heard in Sderot on Sunday evening, as well as other nearby towns close to the border with the Gaza Strip. But the IDF said the sirens were caused by heavy machine gun fire from Gaza, not a rocket attack, so the Iron Dome air defense system was not activated.

B’chasdei shamayim, no physical injuries were reported, although one woman in her thirties was treated for panic, according to Arutz Sheva.
