New Ministerial Committee on Housing Established

According to a proposed resolution that was approved Sunday at the weekly Cabinet meeting, a ministerial committee for housing, construction and real estate matters will be established as soon as possible, chaired by Minister of Construction and Housing Rabbi Yitzchak Goldknopf.

The ministerial committee will include the finance minister, the interior minister, the energy minister, the transportation minister, the education minister, the minister for development of the Negev and Galilee periphery, the minister of environmental protection, the settlements minister and the agriculture minister.

With the entry of the Rabbi Goldknopf into his position, the minister directed the professional parties to prepare a broad an in-depth work with the aim of recording the record numbers in land marketing and construction starts.
