Monsey Children Find Loaded Gun

A group of young children in Monsey found a loaded handgun in the street Sunday morning, a source familiar with the incident told Hamodia.
A mother was horrified when she saw the children playing with the firearm outside her home, at around 10 a.m. while the group was waiting for a school bus to pick them up.
One child apparently pointed the weapon at another, thinking it to be a toy. B’chasdei Hashem, the gun did not fire. The mother ordered the children to drop the gun, which when recovered turned out to be a loaded .22 caliber pistol. She then called Chaverim, who secured the firearm and called police.
Police and the Rockland Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating the incident.
