Palestinians Clash With IDF Troops in Shechem; Eight Terror Suspects Arrested Overnight
Palestinian terrorists clashed with IDF troops early Wednesday in Shechem during an attempt by the IDF to arrest a wanted man.
According to the IDF, troops operating in the city came under fire from armed Palestinians. The IDF said that the forces returned fire, and that no soldiers were hurt, baruch Hashem.
A local wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Shechem-based Lion’s Den terror groups said their members had opened fire at the IDF troops in the area, claiming to have prevented them from conducting an arrest.
The IDF said that no suspects were detained in the Shechem raid, while eight wanted Palestinians were arrested across Yehudah and Shomron, with some violent incidents.
