Maimonides Medical Center to Ease Covid Restrictions

BROOKLYN — Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) will ease their Covid restrictions in accordance with recent guidance from the Department of Health (DOH) and Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA). The restrictions have been in place since the onset of the Covid epidemic.
As of 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, visitors will no longer be required to prove their vaccination status or a negative Covid test when accompanying a patient to MMC. In addition, temperature checks will no longer be conducted for visitors.
New signs advising visitors not to visit if they exhibit signs of a cold, the flu or Covid will be posted.
In addition, one visitor will be permitted to remain bedside of a patient overnight outside of visiting hours.
