Security Forces Apprehend Four Terror Suspects

Security forces conducted counterterrorism operations on Wednesday night throughout Yehudah and Shomron, including in the villages of Hizmah, Tafuh, and in the city of Chevron.

IDF troops operated in the village of Beit Daku in the area of the Binyamin region and arrested two wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.

During the operation in the city of Ramallah, and in the village of Shayuch in the Gush Etzion area, rioters threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the security forces, who responded with measures to disperse protests. Two wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities were arrested in Shayuch.

A total of four wanted suspects were arrested.

There were no Israeli casualties in any of the operations, baruch Hashem.

The IDF and Israeli security forces have arrested over 1,600 terror suspects and have prevented hundreds of terror attacks in the five months since the commencement of Operation Wave Breaker, Israel’s counterterrorism operation launched in May following several deadly terror attacks that left 20 Israelis dead.

In the meantime, the police are still investigating an apparent vehicular ramming attack that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Binyamin region.

The IDF stated that during a joint operation with the police, the security forces stopped for inspection an Arab vehicle near the Israeli community of Ofra.

The suspect tried to flee the scene while accelerating his vehicle in an attempt to run over the security forces, who fired at the vehicle. A police officer was injured in his leg and taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The vehicle was caught at a nearby checkpoint with the suspect inside, who was injured as a result of the shooting.

The police said that the investigation is still ongoing.
