BD”E: Rav Yidel Weinstock, Z”l, Gabbai of Satmar Rebbe, Killed in Crash
Rav Yidel (Zvi Yehudah) Weinstock, z”l, gabbai of, ybl”c, the Satmar Rebbe, Harav Zalman Leib Teitelbaum, shlita, was killed early Tuesday in a horrific car accident.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the New York State Thruway South, heading from Monroe to Monsey. The other car, whose driver was identified as George Gonzalez, 68, of Dumont, N.J., appears to have been traveling in the wrong direction on the highway when he struck Rav Yidel’s car.
Gonzalez was also killed, and there were no passengers in either car, according to ABC7.
The levayah was held Wednesday morning from the Satmar beis medrash in Williamsburg, on 152 Rodney St. Kevurah was in Kiryas Joel.
