Palestinian terrorist factions made a series of threats on Tuesday to renew violence against Israel after IDF forces killed Palestinian Islamic Jihad Commander Ibrahim Nablusi in Shechem.

The PIJ put out a message saying, “The Zionist occupation continues its crimes against the Palestinian people, and is making a new, foolish mistake in its aggression in the city of Nablus.”

A spokesman for the PIJ in Yehudah and Shomron, Tarek Az Aldin, responded to the targeted killings of terrorist operatives in Shechem on Tuesday morning, saying, “The aggression in Nablus [Shechem] demands a popular and military uprising from every Palestinian, and starting today, there is no room for excuses.

“The enemy is spilling Palestinian blood and expanding its crimes against our people… We are one people. The occupation does not distinguish between one faction and another and has made the entire Palestinian people its target. This demands that we unite and respond to these crimes,” the spokesman said.

“Today we are facing a serious escalation by the forces of the occupation that demands that we make a true, strong stand to stop the aggression. All members of our people must stand up to the enemy, increase the pace of resistance, and make the occupation pay a price,” Az Aldin said.

Hamas made similar threats. The Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip said that the “conflict with the Zionist enemy” was ongoing and escalating day by day.

Hamas also excoriated the Palestinian Authority for cooperating with Israel. “Nablusi was killed near a Palestinian police station in Nablus, without them taking any action against the aggression of the occupation. All the PA security forces that coordinate with Israel are partners in spilling Palestinian blood,” the group said.
