Poll: Netanyahu-Led Bloc Plus Yamina Gets 63 Seats

YERUSHALAYIM – No sooner had Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced his departure from politics than a poll released on Wednesday night showed that if elections were held now, Opposition Leader Binyamin Netanyahu would become prime minister again if the Yamina party under the leadership of Ayelet Shaked joined him.

The Midgam poll for Channel 12 pegged Likud at 34 seats, Yesh Atid in second place with 20, followed by Blue and White and Religious Zionism both with 9, Shas 8, UTJ 7, Joint Arab List 6, Labor and Yisrael Beytenu 5 each, Meretz, Ra’am and New Hope with 4 each. The key to the next coalition is Yamina lead by Shaked, which according to the poll, would get 5 seats in the Knesset, enough to provide Likud and the religious parties with a ruling majority of 63. Shaked is reportedly inclined to work with Likud.
