Street Closures in Boro Park Wednesday Due to Bobov-45 Groundbreaking

BORO PARK — To accommodate the large crowds expected to attend the groundbreaking event for Bobov-45 Wednesday, several streets in middle of the heavily trafficked neighborhood will face closures, Community Board 12 announced.

Starting at 12:00 PM, 49th Street will be closed from 15th Avenue to 13th Avenue. At 3:00 PM, 14th Avenue will be closed from 50th Street to 48th Street. No end time was given for the closures.

The event itself will be held at the corner of 14th Avenue and 49th Street, as ground will be broken for the new Bobov-45 beis medrash.

The closures will affect several bus routes:

On the Westbound B11, busses will travel via 49th St to 16th Avenue. They will turn left on 16th Avenue to 60th Street, and make a right on 60th Street to 12th Avenue. They will then turn right on 12th Ave to 49th Street, make a left and continue on their regular route. All corresponding stops will be on 60th St.

On the Eastbound B11, buses will travel via 50th Street to 12th Avenue. They will make a right on 12th Avenue to 56th Street, and a left on 56th Street to 16th Avenue. They will turn left on 16th Avenue to 50th Street. They will then make a right on 50th Street and continue on their regular route.

Eastbound B16 buses will travel via 56th Street to 16th Avenue. they will make a left on 16th Avenue and travel to 39th Street. They will make a left on 39th Street and go to 14th Avenue. and then make a right on 14th Avenue and continue on their regular route. All corresponding stops will be on 16th Avenue.
