Turkey FM Arrives in Israel for First State Visit in 15 Years

Turkey’s foreign minister landed in Israel on Tuesday. It was the first visit by a senior Turkish official to Israel in more than a decade.

After his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Mevlut Cavusoglu went on a two-day trip to the Palestinian territories.

On Wednesday, Cavusoglu will visit Yad Vashem and meet with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov.

The main topic for talks will be the restoration of ambassadors, after the two countries expelled one another’s envoys in 2018.

According to Turkish sources, Israel has given Ankara a list of Hamas terrorists Israel wants them to expel from Turkey as a condition for the normalization of ties between the two countries.
