Massive Traffic Backup on BQE North

The North-bound BQE has been reopened at Hamilton Avenue following a closure earlier this morning after an oil tanker spill, but heavy delays still remain, with stopped traffic in some parts, including the ramp to the Hugh Carrey Tunnel and Brooklyn Bridge. Travelers to Manhattan from Brooklyn are advised to take alternate routes.
