Thousands of high school girls from across Israel came on Monday morning, the second day of Rosh Chodesh Iyar, to daven at the Kosel, with the intent to give chizuk to those who are fighting the battle on behalf of kedushas haKosel.

On the other hand, a small group of Women of the Wall provocateurs refused to follow orders and enter the southern plaza at the Kosel that was set aside for them.

According to the Kosel Heritage Foundation, a group of Women of the Wall did not listen to the request to enter the plaza designated for them, which had been set up for them by order of the Justice Ministry. This plaza was set up for the purpose of separating the Women of the Wall from the mispallelim, to prevent conflicts.

The Foundation said, “Despite repeated requests, they chose not to enter the plaza and [instead] to disturb public order. Furthermore, one of the leaders of the group decided to create chaos and provocation and went towards a group of mispallelim standing in the upper plaza, for the purpose of fanning the flames and disturbing public order.

“The Kosel Heritage Foundation operational manager, Eden Shimon, asked the leader of the group to re-enter the plaza in order to prevent violence and not turn the Kosel into a place of protests, but she chose to continue what she was doing and once again turn the site into a battlefield.”
