IDF Maps Ariel Terrorists’ Home, Ahead of Demolition

IDF soldiers and Israeli security forces continued intelligence-based counterterrorism activities in Yehudah and Shomron over the weekend, arresting 12 terror suspects, the latest phase of Operation Wave Breaker.

Early Sunday morning, the IDF, Shin Bet security service and Special Forces operated in several areas to arrest suspects involved in terrorist activities and to confiscate illegal weapons, including in the villages of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Jalazone, Marka and Sanour in the Jenin area.

An IDF unit mapped the homes of terrorists Yahya Marai and Yusuf Assi, the two terrorists who carried out the shooting attack at the entrance to the city of Ariel on Friday evening and murdered Vyacheslav Golev, Hy”d, and who were later arrested.

IDF soldiers also arrested a suspect in aiding the terrorists who carried out the attack.

The mapping of a terrorist’s home is done ahead of its demolition.

During the operation in Jalzone, dozens of rioters threw rocks at the forces who responded with crowd control means and accurate gunfire.

In addition, five suspects of involvement in terrorism were arrested, and handguns, a hunting gun and a Carlo submachine gun were confiscated.

A total of 12 wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities throughout Yehudah and Shomron were arrested.

There were no Israeli casualties, baruch Hashem.
