Girls’ School Evacuated After Fire in Nearby Auto Shop

A 2-alarm fire broke out on Church Avenue and 36th St in Boro Park around 12:20PM Wednesday, in the corner lot of G and V Auto Center. A bus caught fire in the lot, and the fire spread to the adjacent house, which is behind Gan Yisroel elementary school.
All students were evacuated by Shomrim safely. The occupants of the house and the auto shop also exited uninjured. The fire reportedly did not reach the school, but smoke entered the building.
