Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive today for COVID, after taking both a rapid and a PCR test, according to her press secretary Kirsten Allen.

She has not been in close contact with either President Biden, or the First Lady, as Harris’ travel schedule did not overlap with theirs.

Harris is at present asymptomatic, and she is continuing to work from her home in isolation. It is not known at present time if she and the President have had any mutual contacts following her infection. Harris received a booster shot of a COVID vaccine in October 2021, and had tested negative during her husband’s bout with the virus last month.

This is a developing story.
