Fire in Eight-Family House, Rescued by KJFD
At around 2:30AM Monday night, smoke was seen in a large house in Kiryas Yoel, NY. A fire was discovered in the bathroom of the basement of the 8-family house, at 151 acres road.
KJFD was immediately dispatched, and was aided by neighboring Woodbury and Washingtonville fire departments. It was determined that the fire started in a bathroom fan.
All occupants were evacuated and were not injured. Within an hour, the fire was under control and the families were permitted to return to their homes.
